New Years Resolutions

January 1, 2018

This year, and more about it later, I’m going to try and live a life consistent with John Prestons book The Money Revolution. It is available through Amazon and as a free download through various Church of England dioceses (Google it).

The paid for version comes with a free card to stick in your wallet alongside (and possibly in front of) your payment cards. The main points are:

  1. Good spending is consistent with Christian values.
  2. To think “Am I really going to use it?”
  3. The cost, not just the price.
  4. To spend time shopping around
  5. To pray about major purchases
  6. It doesn’t always have to be new

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.
