This year will be one that will not be easily forgotten. Given the uncertanity of COVID-19 and not knowing if school would be in person or moved online made for a challenging year. Just like so many teachers around the world, I had to adapt to teach in this “new normal.” Some things I have done in the past carried over to this new style of teaching, while some things had to be reimagined completely. Getting to work with high school students is such a great joy and seeing them grow despite the crazy world around them is so encouraging. This past year of teaching has taught me so many things. I want to share my thoughts on all of this, and hopefully what I have learned can be helpful to someone. Over the next few days, I will be posting a reflection on different topics and themes from what I have learned. These 7 things are outlined below, along with some key ideas and questions they will be adressing. As always, I would love feedback and to hear from others on these topics.
